To ensure your products are securely packed and arrive safely, we offer a variety of standard packing materials. Our team selects the best combination based on the item type and shipping requirements.
1. Corrugated Boxes
We use high-quality corrugated boxes that provide excellent durability and protection for shipping. Boxes are available in various sizes to accommodate different products.
2. Bubble Wrap
Items are wrapped in bubble wrap for added cushioning and impact protection, especially for fragile or delicate products.
3. Butcher Paper
We use clean butcher paper to wrap or cushion items as needed. It provides an eco-friendly and effective way to keep items secure.
4. Custom Packaging Tape
All boxes are sealed with strong, custom-branded packaging tape for added security and professional presentation.
5. Gel Packs
When applicable, gel packs keep items cold or frozen during transit, mainting product quality and safety by providing consistent cooling for perishable or temperature-sensitive items.
6. Insulated Cooler
When applicable, insulated coolers are used to maintain consistent temperatures to protect perishable or heat-sensitive products, ensuring they arrive in optimal condition.
Blinding
Many Highlight projects are conducted “blind” to ensure the product feedback is as unbiased as possible. This means that Highlighters won’t know what the brand is or what the final packaging looks like. When setting up a blind product test, considerations include:
- Ensuring any recognizable names, logos, and branding are not visible
- Using generic but clear descriptors for the product(s)
throughout your survey(s)
- Allowing participants to easily distinguish between flavors/products if you are testing multiple blinded SKUs in the same trial Including the ingredient list and any relevant allergens (i.e. gluten) and/or product labels (i.e. contains caffeine)
To execute a blind product trial, you may choose to:
- Have products created or processed to arrive unbranded to Highlight
- Ask Highlight to do one of the following blinding methods, such as blacking out product labels with a permanent marker, covering with tape, and repacking into new containers/bags
- Highlight can add an identification code/label and ingredient list to the products.
Repacking
Highlight can manage repacking your product(s) as needed and has experience conducting repacks across many product categories. Select the repacking option for your products in the Setup > Handling step of your project.
Repacking your product is a great solution when:
- The product packaging is difficult to blind otherwise
- The product needs to be split into different or specific quantities
For example, the product ships to Highlight in bulk or, if the product is in market with a specific set pack size, but participants need a different quantity of the sample for their trial.
