Project Cost and Project Feasibility

Understand the cost, recruiting complexity, and feasibility of your project as you advance through the setup flow.

As you proceed through the various steps to add key information about your project, you can quickly and easily see:

  • The costs associated with your project: How many Highlights will your project cost? Do you have any Add-Ons that incur an additional cost (paid in dollars)?
  • Whether the project is feasible: If we believe your audience might be unfeasible, you'll see a "Hard to Reach" warning pop up.

Project Cost

You can see the project cost by clicking the "Cost Summary" button:

You'll then see a breakdown of all of the items in your project setup that impact cost. Certain items will affect the Highlights cost, while certain items will affect the Add-Ons cost.

For Highlights:

  • We assign a Highlights-per-Participant number based on a handful of data points:

    • Recruiting Complexity: The higher the complexity, the greater the Highlights-per-Participant.
    • Project Type: Physical Tests and Digital Tests are charged differently.
    • Shipping & Storage Requirements: Requiring Refrigeration or Frozen storage results in different pricing.
    • Participant Add-On Activities: Asking some participants to submit a video or photo incurs an additional cost.
    • Fielding Timeline: Anything longer than 14 days incurs an additional cost.

For Add-Ons:

  • If your products require repacking, blinding, or relabeling, then you will see an Add-On cost.

Note that the total cost does not include project selections made outside of the Highlight platform setup flow. Your Highlight rep will communicate and account for any costs incurred by external requests.

Project Feasibility

To determine feasibility, we look at:

  1. The number of participants needed

  2. Audience criteria

  3. Quotas

Between those three data points, our system calculates whether or not we think your project may not be feasible (in other words, if we believe it may be be difficult to execute the project based on the audience required). If so, you'll see this "Hard to Reach" warning pop up:

hard-to-reach

Relaxing criteria, loosening quotas, or minimizing the number of participants needed are the ways to make your project feasible. Note that you cannot submit your project if we believe it is not feasible.
