Within each project, there are up to 4 different types of surveys:
- Custom Profiling Questions
- Pre-Trial Survey
- Trial Survey
- Post-Trial Survey

Custom Profiling Questions
This should be used for any custom profiling questions you'd like to ask of your testers, specifically to be used in analysis and to provide a richer view of your test data. This might include more behavioral / attitudinal type questions that will be helpful to better understand or analyze your results.
This will not behave as a standalone survey, and should not be used to ask any questions that are qualifying requirements for your study. Any qualification questions should be included when you build your audience (more on that here)
Pre-Trial Survey
If you want to ask questions of your testers before they begin to experience anything product-specific, this is the type of survey to use. It's a general overview-type survey - think Unboxing Reactions, or Typical Routine Overview.
Trial Survey
Trial surveys are automatically generated for each of the products that you add to your project. They include content that is specifically geared towards evaluation of a single product at a time.
If you want to include something like a Pre-Trial Concept Review for each of your products, use a Trial Survey and update the description to reflect how it will be used.
Post-Trial Survey
Once testers have finished with their products, you can include a Post-Trial Survey to capture comparative perspectives between them. This, like the Pre-Trial Survey, is not product-specific.
